As the spread of COVID-19 continues and the situation is still uncertain, the Local Organizing Committee of Potentially Toxic Elements - from environment to man, has taken the decision to postpone the PTEs2020 conference to an undisclosed date, probably in 2022 in the same venue in Lisbon, Portugal.

All submitted abstracts and early bird paid fees continue to be valid, but the abstract submission is suspended until further notice.

Aims and scope

The 1st conference on Potentially Toxic Elements - from environment to Man, aims to bring together experts from academia, laboratories and industry to discuss the occurrence of potentially toxic elements and substances and its implications in the environment, food, pharmaceutical and industrial materials and human and animal health.

This conference follows two previous workshops organized in Caparica (2016) and Lisbon (2011) dealing with the interdisciplinary detection of heavy metals, now targeting a broader action on detection, analysis and monitoring of Potentially Toxic Elements (PTEs) and substances in Environment and Society, towards the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
